Fake websites are fraudulently using our logo, making it look as if we operate them, and displaying our products, such as the Nintendo Switch, for purchase if at a significant discount.

The link to the official Nintendo website is as follows: https://www.nintendo.co.jp/.

They also caution that if you purchase from a fake website, your personal and financial information may be stolen and used for unauthorized purposes, including identity theft.

Purchasing products on fake sites may result in unauthorized acquisition of personal information and other unauthorized damage. Please be careful not to mistake this site for our site and do not purchase products from fake sites

The company also warns that it will immediately report to the police and relevant ministries and agencies if it finds any fake websites targeting its customers.

This warning comes in the wake of a data breach that came to light two years ago in which an unknown threat illegally logged into the accounts of more than 300,000 Nintendo users.

The attacker used the Nintendo Network ID (NNID) to obtain the user’s name, country, email address, and date of birth.

After this incident was discovered, Nintendo warned users to enable two-factor authentication (2FA) for their accounts and reset their affected NNID and Nintendo account passwords.
